How do you make money?

Ranch Gear only makes money when you sell a product. A 30% commission fee will be applied to all sales. |

Why 30%? That seems high.

We charge 30% commission because we eliminate the setup fees and monthly charges that all other shopping cart services require. For example, to use the basic Yahoo shopping cart, there is a $50.00 setup fee and approximately $40.00 a month service fee, plus a 1.5% transaction fee on every order. That's well over $530.00 a year whether you sell anything or not. With all other shopping cart systems, you have to do all the work. We handle all the headache that comes along with owning an online store such as construction, custom graphics, customer service, shipping and accounting.

How do I get paid? |

We send out checks on the first of every month if the amount owed is greater than $50.00. If the amount owed is less than $50.00, the balance rolls over to next month until the $50.00 minimum is met.

I really don't sell any anything, I usually give my shirts and hats away to clients for free.
Why would I need you? |

That is EXACTLY why you need us! You are giving your products away for free when you could be making a very nice profit! We understand that if a client pays you thousands of dollars for a guided trip, they are entitled to a free hat and maybe a shirt.
Many outfitters and charter companies would like to carry more than just hats & shirts, but when asked, would feel obligated to give their really nice products away for free. There are always those clients who want more than than the standard freebie. Never be placed in that uncomfortable situation again. By signing up with Ranch Gear, you can put all the blame all on us! Have on hand several of your really nice products like a soft cooler, fleece jacket or an awesome Colombia pullover, all with your embroidered logo. When your clients see and enquire about them, all you have to do is direct them to your website. There, your clients can order directly over the internet without you feeling guilty for charging for your merchandise. Remember, business is business and you are providing a service that handled improperly, could cost you hundreds if not thousands of dollars at the end of the year.
Also, Several companies take their clients on guided fishing or hunting trips. Ranch Gear allows your client to purchase these products in advance before arriving to the hunt or charter.

How do I know how many items I have sold? |

Each time and order is placed from your Ranch Gear store, and email is sent notifying you of the transaction along with items sold.

During the busy season, I'm not real good keeping track of my inventory. What if my inventory starts to get low? |

Ranch Gear's online business software alerts you when inventory starts to get low. We can even apply the credit you have toward the restocking of your inventory. |
